Cris is one half of the collective production/djing duo TwistedDeceitful, along with partner in crime Dan Hicks. Borne out of a friendship whilst working together, it was quickly established a passion for house music and djing was shared between the two. From there, the identity of TwistedDeceitful was created, as both had a preference for the moodier, dark side of house music. Originally, Cris had been playing a blended fusion of funky house, US garage, electro filth and sexy latin beatz, perfecting a style tailor-made for those lustful sessions both on and off the dancefloor, before moving on to a more progressive, techy style. With this was a growing need to produce his own material to play to the masses, incorporating his own multi faceted tastes and varying personality traits one might say... Cris has played at some of the biggest clubs in the country, including Sankeys (Soap), Rennies, Holy City Zoo, Niche, The Cross, Tokyo Project, Media, Pacha, End, Club V as well as Ibiza and Europe.
Dan has honed his musical talents from an early age before discovering his passion for guitar and electronic music. Although having an extensive interest in djing and house music, Dan's musical background has previously focused more towards a rock band nature, having been the lead guitarist in several established rock bands. This has given Dan the experience of playing and performing to live audiences, constructing sets and pursuing an interest in music recording. Learning many skills of production that lend themselves to both live and electronic instruments, Dan's passion for many musicical genres has lead to an eclectic taste which influences his style today.
Together, Cris and Dan have infiltrated the darker, moodier side of music under their guise of TwistedDeceitful, producing a more progressive temperamental sound. With influences from Tenaglia, Lawler, Zabiela amongst others, TD have brought a touch of twisted narcasism to artists such as Rock Band 'Pyro', PhunkLoverZ, as well as remixes of DJ Hell amongst others. They hope to push forward the moody sound they are currently polishing, with worldwide exposure almost certain to produce glowing references.
